| FileHide: Hide/Unhide Files Visibility in Explorer on Java J2ME Mobile PhonesFileHide is a freeware utility for Java J2ME mobile devices that lets you selectively protect files by making them Invisible/Hidden on your MIDP 2.0 compatible Smartphone. When you first launch the software, it will ask you to enter a password and confirm it. Once the password is set, you can click on selective files to toggle their status between hidden or visible. The files can be stored on the main memory of your mobile device or on a storage/memory card. Since it is a Java application, you may need to go into the phone settings and select always allow for the different types of permissions listed. Once you hide or unhide any file, its visibility is effected in the built-in file manager or any third party file explorer on the device itself. But if the phone is connected to your PC, you will see the hidden files. There is also an option in the program to show the current status of all files- whether they are hidden or visible. But you will be prompted for more permissions access if you do that.
